„Die Bullen werden solange im Finstern tappen, bis sie sich gezwungen sehen, die politische in eine militärische Situation umzuwandeln.“ Marighella Die Wahrheit ist, daß es seit dem Ende der Ausbildung der ersten Zwanzig in Jordanien keine Informationen aus der Gruppe mehr gibt. Die Arbeit der RAF ist geheim. Die „Sicherheitskräfte“, Sicherungsgruppe, Polizei, BND, Verfassungsschutz, Bundesanwaltschaft, der Spiegel, die Springerpresse, sie alle wissen nichts. Sie wissen nichts über die Größe, die Zahl, die Organisation, die Feuerkraft, die Taktik der Gruppen. Jedes Wort, das in der Öffentlichkeit des Bullenstaates seit eineinhalb Jahren über uns geschieben worden ist, ist falsch, ist Spekulation oder Gegenpropaganda, mit dem Ziel, Theorie und Praxis der Stadtguerrilla zu diffamieren und einen Keil zwischen uns und unsere Basis zu treiben. Ich denke nicht daran, mich zu stellen. Kein Typ von der RAF denkt daran sich zu stellen. Kein Gefangener aus der RAF hat bis jetzt ausgesagt. Erfolgsmeldungen über uns können nur heißen: verhaftet oder tot. Die stärke der Guerrilla ist die Entschlossenheit jedes einzelnen von uns. Wir sind nicht auf der Flucht. Wir sind hier, um den bewaffneten Widerstand gegen die bestehende Eigentumsordnung und die fortschreitende Ausbeutung des Volkes zu organisieren. Die Aktion der RAF jetzt ist die Bildung politisch-militärisch Kader, die Verbesserung der Bewaffnung und der Ausbildung der Revolutionäre, die Verankerung der Gruppen in der Sympathisantenscene, die bereit ist, den bewaffneten Widerstand zu unterstützen. Es gibt keinen von uns eine subjecktiven oder objektiven Grund, den Kampf zu dem er sich entschlossen hat, zu verraten, nicht Genschers dreckiger Deal mit der Straffreiheit, nicht der van der Lubbe der Sozialdemokraten Ruhland, nicht die ungeheure Militarisierung der Polizei, nicht Gefängnis, nicht Folter, auch nicht der Bullenterror gegen die Bevölkerung. „Der Stein, den sie hochgehoben haben, wird auf ihre eigenen Füße fallen“. Wenn der Preis für unser Leben oder unsere Freiheit der Verrat am antikapitalitischen Kampf sein soll, so ist dazu zu sagen: Wir zahlen ihn nicht. Der bewaffnete Kampf entwickelt sich nicht von Schlagzeile zu Schlagzeile. Die politisch-militärische Strategie der Stadtguerrila reicht vom Widerstand gegen die Faschisierung der parlamentarischen Demokratie bis zum Aufbau der ersten regulären Einheiten der Roten Armee im Volkskrieg. Der Kampf hat erst begonnen.		“The cops will continue to be in the dark, until they are forced to see the political situation change to a military situation.” Marighella 1 The truth is that since the end of the training of the first Twenty in Jordan,2 no information exists anymore from the group. The work of the RAF is secret. The safety forces, the protective agencies, the police, the BND, the constitutional security, the Federal Public Prosecutor, Der Spiegel, and the Springer Press,3 they all know nothing. They don’t know about the size, the number, the organization, the firepower or the tactic of the group. Every word that was written about us in the public of the police state for the last one and a half years is false, is speculation or counter-propaganda, with the intent to defame the theory and practice of the city guerrilla and to drive a wedge between us and our basis. I don’t think about turning myself in. No guy from the RAF thinks about turning himself in. Up to now, no prisoner from the RAF has testified. The good news about us could only say: arrested or dead. The strength of the guerrilla is the determination of every one of us. We are not on the run. We are here to organize the armed resistance against the established property regime and the progressive exploitation of the people. Now the activities of the RAF are the education of a political-militant cadre, the advancement of the arms, the training of the revolutionaries, and the anchorage of the group in the Sympathizer’s Scene, which is prepared to support the armed resistance. The tactical route, which we now follow, is the development of propaganda of the urban guerrilla through more legal revolutionary organizations and the development of a broad logistical basis in all social levels of the people. There is not, for any of us, a subjective or an objective reason to betray the battle to which we are committed , not Genscher’s dirty deal with the exemption from punishment,4 not van der Lubbe,5 the Social Democrat Ruhland,6 not the monstrous militarization of the police, not prison, not torture, also not the police terror against the population. “The stone, which they have picked up, will fall on their own feet.” If the price for our lives or our freedom should be the betrayal of the anti-capitalist struggle, there is this to say: we will not pay it. The armed battle does not develop from headline to headline. The political-militant strategy of the urban guerrilla is adequate for the resistance against the Fascism of the parliamentary democracy and the organization of the first regular units of the Red Army in the people’s war. The battle has just begun. Notes 1. Carlos Marighella wrote the minimanual of the Urban Guerrilla, providing urban revolutionaries like the Baader-Meinhof Group tactical and practical advice for waging urban warfare. 2. Twenty members of the Red Army Faction (Baader-Meinhof Gang) travelled to Jordan for training in May of 1970, shortly after the breakout of Andreas Baader from prison custody. 3. Der Spiegel was and is the major news magazine of Germany. The Springer press was the publishing empire controlled by conservative press baron Axel Springer, who was a major nemesis to leftists through his control of most of the daily and Sunday newspapers of West Germany. 4. Hans-Dietrich Genscher was the minister of the the Interior for West Germany, and helped modernize the police forces of Germany and was credited for being one of the leaders who was responsible for capturing the Baader-Meinhof group. Variously he offered amnesty for some group members on the run if they were to give themselves up and/or provide information about the rest of the group. 5. Possibly a reference to Marinus van der Lubbe, who confessed to starting the Reichstag fire in 1933 after the Gestapo tortured him. 6. Karl-Heinz Ruhland had been recruited into the outer layers of the Baader-Meinhof Group for his machinist skills. He ultimately turned against the group and testified against them.
