1970 was the year that gave the Baader-Meinhof Gang it's name. Famous journalist Ulrike Meinhof helps break noted arsonist Andreas Baader from prison, giving birth to the "Baader-Meinhof Gang." Ironically, Meinhof was a secondary member of the group. Baader's girlfriend, Gudrun Ensslin, was the true co-leader of the group.
