	Thread started: Oct 24 2009, 5:20 PM EDT Watch hello ---my name is Henry iam in England and a student of German. I first started learning it at school in the 1980s. I guess i like it a lot because I found out that I have German ancestor way back in the 19th century. Also my paternal grandfather spoke it fluently and spent a lot of time there on business in the period 1923--1931. He was involved in the political settlement in Austria after the war as well. anyway, i'd like to do these translations but it will take some time. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. 	Thread started: May 4 2009, 11:27 PM EDT Watch One of the first things I had major trouble with was translating ENTEIGNET as in ENTEIGNET SPRINGER! The original English translation was "Dispropriate" or something like that, but that sounds really awkward to me as a native English speaker. The meaning of "enteignen" is "to (forcibly) rip (or take) ownership of something away from someone". For the moment I have simply translated it as "Down with Springer", but if anyone can come up with a better translation, that would be great! Do you find this valuable?
